Another case of dog abuse has emerged from China after an online site reported that dogs were hung by their necks outside a building as part of a protest.

A building contractor in Shenzhen had decided to protest for his rights by unfurling banners from a building rooftop, as well as hanging two dogs up by their necks outside the building.

The online source said the two dogs died after the mistreatment.

According to the website, the contractor was unhappy after local authorities failed to inform him whether his building would be demolished to make way for road construction.

This allegedly affected him collecting 11 months' worth of rent from his building's tenants.

However, the authorities said that the road had already been completed and that the building will remain.

Reactions from netizens have been mixed.

Some readers said the man should be punished for his behavior, while others said such a practice had happened before.
