World's longest fingernails

Chris Walton hasn't clipped hernails in 18 years. And it's finally paying off.

Guinness World Records has named Walton the woman with the longest fingernails, introducing 'The Dutchess' - as she is fondly known among her family and friends -and her nails at a New York City event.

The Las Vegas woman helped kick off the 2012 edition of the Guinness World Records book, which goes on sale later this month.

Walton's nails measure 3.1m on her left hand and 2.92m on her right hand.

She says she does her own nails and makeup.

Even though her nails twist and turn, Walton claims she has no problems doing house chores and sending text messages on her mobile.
