Some prison officers are having sex with prisoners in Queensland, Australia.

Couriermail.com.au reported such cases involving four female and a male prisoner officers .

One prison officer gave money and wrote "sexually explicit" letters to prisoners.

Another got a prisoner to organise free tattoos.

A third guard "dated" an offender while on parole.

Three more cases are being investigated.

Queensland Corrective Services Commissioner Kelvin Anderson said that these liaisons were "stupid."

Queensland Party leader Aidan McLindon said the State Government should investigate whether female guards should still work in male prisons.
