Parrot fish stage hunger strike when separated

A pair of parrot fish was so loving that they kiss whenever they bumped into each other in a tank.

Sometimes, they can kiss up to 30 minutes.

Their love has touched the hearts of many people, who went to witness this sweet couple in an aquarium in Zhumadian of Henan province, China.

Many newly-wed couples also went to take photographs, with the kissing fish in the background.

The aquarium owner, surnamed Wei, said the pair of parrot fish, from Taiwan, had arrived at his place some two weeks ago.

"We tried to put them in separate tanks, but they staged a hunger strike. They refused to eat anything.

"So, we put them back together three days later," he said.
