Apocalypse fears rock Japan
Terrified families clogged roads and crowded the Tokyo airport in an effort to flee, fearing the worst.
Fears of an apocalypse in Japan were raised as radiation levels soared. This is not a case of overreaction, either.
European energy commissioner Guenther Oettinger said, "There is talk of an apocalypse and I think the word is particularly well chosen."
There were two recent explosions on the Fukushima plant, reported The Daily Mail.
One explosion damaged the walls protecting reactor 2 raising concerns that the casing could split, sending out a cloud of dangerous radiation.
Frances Nuclear Safety Authority said the disaster now equated to a six on the seven-point international scale for nuclear accidents, ranking the crisis second only in gravity to Chernobyl in 1986.
