4 months jail and 120 lashes for kissing

A court in Saudi Arabia sentenced a teenager for four months in prison and 120 lashes with the whip for kissing a girl in public, a newspaper reported on Saturday.

Security cameras caught the boy as he hugged and kissed his girl friend in a shopping mall in the eastern Saudi oasis town of Qatif.

According to the Kabar newspaper, they were arrested and the court sentenced the boy to four months in jail and ordered him lashed 120 times.

The court also barred him from entering the mall for two years.

The newspaper, however, did not make itclear if the girl was also tried.
