Man gets five years for largest child porn stash

A 52-year-old man was sentenced on Monday to five years in prison for amassing the largest collection of child pornography ever seized in Canada.

Douglas Hugh Stewart, 52, pleaded guilty to possessing, accessing and distributing child pornography after police discovered almost six million nude and pornographic images and videos of girls as young as two on his computer.

The customer service manager, who lived alone in his father's basement, was sentenced to 4.5 to five years for each charge, but will serve them concurrently.

In her decision, Judge Anne Dugas-Horsman described the children in the photos as 'countless, nameless, but that does not mean that they don't exist,' reports AFP, quoting public broadcaster CBC.
