Bullied teen beaten up, stripped

A trio had beaten up a teen, stripped him and made him run around a tennis court naked one night in Singapore in April last year.

They also made him wear his underwear over his head while shouting: 'Underwear king' in Mandarin.

All this was filmed on one of the attackers' mobile phone.

The victim was then ordered to hand over S$800 (RM2,000) the next night or the trio would come after him again.

He went to the police and, in October, Ang Quan Yang, Benson Lim Wei Sheng and Edric Heng Yo Peng pleaded guilty to committing extortion in a district court.

On Tuesday, Ang, 19, who also admitted to causing hurt, and Lim, 20, were sentenced to reformative training.

The third member, Edric Heng Yi Peng, 18, will be sentenced on Dec 17. He faces additional charges for wrongful restraint.
