It was a cruel and bizarre act...

A man in the United Kingdom was caught on CCTV, swinging a cat by his tail, as he danced down the street.

The man nearly smashed the cats head on the pavement outside a pub, where the incident occurred.

The pub's landlord sent the CCTV footage to the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

The petrified cat was actually someones pet.

The feline managed to escape and returned to its owner in a very distressed state and has not left the flat since.

The owner is too upset to view the footage herself.
