Friends of the couple are said to be shocked at the news that they are to face court in America following the alleged 1.45am incident at the Roxy club in Orlando, Florida, on August 13.

In papers filed by police officer Noah Pruitt, he says: One of the club employees informed me that a white male, black male and a white female, later identified as defendant Mary Lang Gorman, were possibly having sex in the mens restroom.

As we entered the restroom, I noticed the stall was locked. He says another officer, Richard Roman, knocked on the door and said in a loud, authoritative voice: Orlando police!.

Pruitt adds: Once the stall door opened, the white male was watching defendant Gorman performing a sex act on the black male. The white male and black male exited the stall, exiting the bath! room.

He claims Mary continued to be loud and was asked to leave the toilet several times. She was handcuffed after allegedly pushing Pruitt in the chest with an open hand.

According to the police, a black wallet was found in Marys handbag containing a small amount of white powder, believed to be cocaine.

In his report, officer Roman says he and Pruitt were in the middle of arresting Mrs Gorman outside the club when her husband came right at us.

Roman claims he ordered him to stand back, but he repeatedly replied: I dont care thats my wife. After allegedly ignoring further warnings, Gorman was arrested and charged with interfering with the officers duties.

Although the arrest did happen, we firmly do not believe that we have done anything to merit the charges or treatment we received.

We totally refute all the charges and have appointed an attorney in Orlando who fully expects a successful resolution in due course. This is an already horrendous situation for us and our children so anything that can be done to limit this would be very much appreciated.
