TV reporter's on-air 'nasal malfunction'
As any television news reporter will confirm, the live report to camera is always one fraught with potential on-air embarrassment. But rather than the usual passers-by waving behind her or swearing on camera, glamorous Canadian reporter Saphia Khambalia was left red-faced when her nose started running mid-report.
The brunette reporter for City TV News Toronto had been reporting live from the city's Massey Hall theatre, where Charlie Sheen had appeared for his 'Violent Torpedo Of Truth Tour'.
Here's the nose: Khambalia is left red-faced after her on-air nasal malfunction The troubled star had led a Bipolar Awareness Walk over the weekend from the Ritz Carlton in Toronto, to Massey Hall, where he appeared for the second time for his tour.
And it was outside Massey Hall where Khambalia had been dispatched to present a live report to camera at around 11pm.
But as visible windy conditions bluster around her, the reporter's nose begins to run seconds into her report. The manages to clear her nose once by combining it with a quick swish of her dark hair, only for the troubling watery stream to return seconds later.
The embarrassed reporter attempts to hurriedly sign off her report and hand back to a studio colleague as her runny nose threatens to spoil her on-air appearance again.
But she is powerless to prevent the nasal malfunction as the stream falls from her nose onto her microphone at the split second she finishes her piece.
