Man 'flies' with giant kite
A man was 'flown' by a giant kite in China.
The incident occurred at a kite festival in Huai'an, Jiangsu province, last Tuesday.
At around 3pm, a group of people showed up with a colourful phoenix kite measuring about 40m-long and 30m-wide.
The giant kite immediately attracted the attention of many people, who were wondering if it could be flown.
With help from some bystanders, including a man surnamed Guo, the group managed to get the giant kite to fly in their second attempt.
A strong gust of wind suddenly blew the kite higher, and those who were holding the rope were forced to let go.
While most of the people were looking at the kite, they heard a man crying for help.
The, they saw Guo still holding onto the rope, but he was hovering about seven metres above ground level.
An experienced kite-flyer immediately grabbed the rope and coiled it around a lamppost.
Then, dozens of men pulled Guo and the kite back to the ground.
