Diamond family's fortune gambled away


Police are investigating the mysterious disappearance of the family.

Their companies andall businessoutlets have closed down.

A lawyer's letter ordering Changcong to pay back a loan of 50,000 yuan (RM23,213) to the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China has been pastedon the doorof one outlet.

In January last year, Yinyin held had an extravagant wedding ceremony that stunned the people in Wuxi of Jiangsu province. It includeda convoy of luxury cars that cost a total of 50mil yuan (RM23.2mil).

He used a Bentley GT as his wedding car whilehis motorcade comprised a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, Lamborghinis, Porsches and Ferraris.

He and his wife, however, arebelieved to have divorced.

Yinyin's father-in-law told Modern Express that the son-in-law had become the past, adding thathe was also searching for the missing family.

"The person who had caused this has to bear the responsibilities. The truth will be revealed," he said.

In just less than a year after the wedding, Yinyin filed for bankruptcy and it was approved by the Beitang District People's Court in October 2010, according to Xinhua News Agency.

It is learnt the Shis was ordered to repaydebts amounting to 7.7mil yuan (RM3.57mil).

The court froze the bank accounts of the companies and family members and also seized homes and properties owned by them.

A businessman, whose shop was located near Zuanshi Jiazhu, said Yinyin's black Porsche car which wasusuallyparked on the pathway outside the shop was no longer there.

Lanyi, which was established in 2000, had an annual sales record of 20mil yuan (RM9.3mil).
