Dad kills daughter over money issues

A father was sentenced to eights years in jail for killing his daughter who had condemned him for his financial problems.The 51-year-old Korean man, whose name has not been released, strangled his daughter whilst she was lying on a bed.

Divorced, he had been raising his two children alone.However, the aftermath of the separation had left him mentally scarred and he was unable to work.

The family house was eventually put to auction, leaving the family with no home.His daughter, frustrated with the situation, apparently told him: Where are we going to go? What about the college application fee? Go out and earn money.

He apologized but the girl again derided him for his financial incompetency which supposedly caused him to lose control.

Incheon District Court reached their lenient decision after taking into consideration the circumstances.
