Student gets death penalty for killing lover's mom

An undergraduate has been sentenced to death for killing his girlfriends mother in China.
Yu Jinsheng, a 21-year-old student at the University of Science and Technology Beijing, had been dating his college mate Xiao Hong (not her real name) for some time, but the girl's parents objected to the relationship and ordered Xiao Hong to leave Yu.
The angry youth stormed into his girlfriend's house with a knife, stabbing her mother more than 10 times on her neck, chest and body.
The mother died on the spot.
Yu ran away with his girlfriend and the couple became fugitives.
They fled to Hebei and Tianjin, before Yu was arrested on March 18.
The court found Yu guilty of murder and sentenced him to death last week.
