House of death now on sale

A house with three rooms and a huge garden in Maryland, USA is now on sale for US$515,000 (RM1.5mil).

However, there is one thing the real estate agent would probably prefer you not find out: Its the site of three murders.

According to state law, the agent does not necessarily need to tell buyers about crimes that have taken place in the house.

The most recent owner, Brian Betts - who was a principal at Garnet-Patterson Middle School - was shot last April by a teenager whom he met via a gay chatting site.

When he bought the house in 2003, he found out that there had been two murders the year before: A 9-year-old girl and her father had also been brutally killed.

After finding out about the houses history, he sought to cancel the deal.

He was saddened, he was shocked, he was upset and did everything he could to rescind the purchase of this house, his attorney, Rene Sandler, told NBC.

Betts even had requested that two ministers bless the house.
