'Sexy heroine' helps the poor in HK

A woman- clad in a black sexy outfit and wearing a mask - has been makingher appearance at the underprivileged areas in Hong Kong.

The 'sexy heroine'was seen distributing food and cash to the poor, especially to those living in the 'cage homes'. She usually turns upat night.

The woman has refused to disclose her identity, saying that shewantedto remain a mystery.

She calls herself'OrchidKnight', as the orchidis the national flower of the Special Administrative Region.

Explaing her actions, shesaid it was a form ofprotest against the government's failure to eradicate hardcore poverty.

There has been speculation thatthe woman isWan Baobao, a granddaughter of Wan Li, a former a leader of China.

In an email to the Oriental Daily, shedid not admit nor deny the rumours.

"I can only say thatmy background is similar to Wan Baobao and my family is well-known in Hong Kong."

"I want to hide my identity because I don't want thepeople to think that I'm doing this to seek publicity," she wrote, adding that shewas a businesswoman and was still single.

She said although shewas from a well-to-do family, she had seen too many people suffer financially and wanted to help them.
