A 38-year-old man in Illinois, Chicago in the US, is willing to pay half his annual salary to anyone who can find him a wife, and has even set up a website to promote his cause.

Paul "Handsome Paul" Gutierrez has started a website called Can anyone find me a wife? which lists exploits of his unsuccessful pursuit of love, as well as 38 reasons why "single women should love [him]. But somehow don't."

If someone can find Gutierrez a girlfriend who is willing to become his wife, he has vowed to donate half of his salary for one year to a charity of their choice.

Poking fun at himself, Gutierrez describes himself as a sorry case and a hopeless romantic who has been unlucky in love.

"It would be a real-life, beauty and the beast marriageMinus the fact I'm not a wavy haired prince with a castle and servants More like a balding drifter with a future mobile home and hamsters," Gutierrez writes on his site.

The tongue-in-cheek blog has already received over 95,000 hits and dozens of comments wishing him luck on his search for love
