Woman 'robbed' as she lay dying
Two cyclists are being hunted by police who believe they may have robbed the woman of her handbag.
Lindsay Plumb, 47, collapsed after a night-out in a pub near her home and was discovered unconscious by her husband Andrew when he became worried and started searching for her.
CCTV images captured a sickening sequence of events.
Detective Inspector Frank Morris said two males on a bike aproached Lindsay as she lay on the ground, but the CCTV did not show what happened next.
The footage does not clearly show the pair taking Lindsay's bag, but it had been stolen by the time paramedics arrived and officers now want to identify the pair of cyclists.
Morris said, "I would be absolutely appalled if people came across a collapsed woman in the street and, instead of going to her aid, decided to steal her handbag.
"I'm sure that every right thinking member of the community - and even members of the criminal fraternity - will be appalled by such disgraceful behaviour.
Her family said: "She was a devoted wife, mum, sister and friend who will be greatly missed by all.
A post-mortem has proved inconclusive but police believe Lindsay died of natural causes.
